Director, Business Intelligence – Regional Sports Networks HQ

The Director of Business Intelligence will be responsible for driving the RSN Corporate strategic vision, and to inform, prioritize and drive core needs and demands of RSN consumers, advertisers, and affiliates to grow NBC RSN’s business and audience.
Plan and implement the overall business intelligence strategy, including data collection / aggregation, analysis, reporting and decision support tools
Develop frameworks and analytics approaches, and processes to operationalize metrics and reports that advance the company’s understanding of business fundamentals through data insights
Provides in-depth analysis and modeling towards discovering and prioritizing new opportunities for the company’s continued growth
Responsible for financial management and reporting on RSN Digital project initiatives
Recommends business best practices based on analytics, consumer data, advertising data and industry trends designed to attract, engage, retain and monetize audience
Oversees all daily aspects of NBC RSN Digital business intelligence efforts, coordinating across RSNs, sales, research, partnerships, etc.
Creates and manages development of business cases for new multiplatform products, platforms, devices and partnerships
Analyzes CRM data and works with local marketing teams on audience targeting plans
Oversee and manage audience conversion goals, including list build and smart targeting
Develop methodologies to manage and grow RSN user databases
Work with the Director of Product to research new technology and trends that can enhance multiplatform marketing offerings

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum five (5) years’ experience using analytics to drive digital business decisions

MBA degree preferred
Exceptional time management and multi-tasking capabilities
Technologically savvy, and up-to-date on industry trends/practices
Structured Query Language (SQL) and Excel financial modeling experience preferred
Strength in working both independently and across cross-functional/matrix teams
Must have excellent communication and leadership skills, and financial acumen
