SCC Innovation Specialist-  Sales Consulting Centers Solutions

The Sales Consulting Center (SCC) - part of the Presales/Sales Consulting eco-system - is a X-LOB Sales Consulting team collaborating as a single “pool of resources” with our Field & OracleDigital SC teams to deliver high quality Sales Consulting work.

What you will be doing?

This position reports into the SCC Architects Pillar lead and has the following responsibilities: 

  • Supports the overall program management for the Innovation Hub - drive all aspects of the program and ensures activities are completed at a consistently high standard, objectives are met on time, suiting the company's strategy and objectives.
  • Critical role in all innovation stages
    • Oversees the efforts required in setting up the innovation high level direction (Innovation FRAME)– support the leadership team with discussions facilitation, recommendations on elements to be considered (Market/Industry trends, innovation trends, innovation methodology)
    • Support the innovation submitter in building up a winning Project Business Case (including innovation vision, value for the org, TCOs, ROIs, Benefits lists, roadmap, development direction, next steps, etc)
    • Facilitate activities required for innovation ideas selection (organization of review sessions, etc
    • Test/Prototype ideas
    • Manage the resource allocations in the Innovation projects
    • Development direction, expansion plan, regionalized use-cases & references.
  • Monitors progress of activities, resolve potential issues and initiating corrective actions as appropriate. Guards customer satisfaction concerning the team’s deliverables
  • Manages the communication process for the Innovation Hub (as per the communication strategy)
  • Acts as a mentor and coach on innovation techniques
  • Runs innovation workshops, evens, hackathons
  • Evaluates and continuously improves the team’s innovative capability
What we are looking for?

To fulfill the role of SCC Innovation Specialist we are looking for individuals that match the following profile.

  • Excellent understanding of the Oracle Sales & Sales Consulting ecosystem
  • Strong knowledge on Oracle Go to Market strategy & overall Oracle solutions value proposition (roadmap, development direction, TCO & ROI calculation techniques, sizing, etc)
  • Strong program & project management skills
  • Creative thinker, you come up with new ideas and solutions in the face of complex tasks.
  • Consistent proven leadership skills in a managerial or non-managerial position.
  •  Self-confidence, you are comfortable to discuss project requirements with (senior) colleagues and managers in the Cloud Enterprise group, as well as provide guidance to individuals in the team
  • The ability to quickly understand customer/project requirements by asking the right questions and to translate these requirements into concrete project deliverables.
  • Good local business knowledge (e.g. local labor market, local culture, etc.) whilst being able to work in a multicultural (EMEA & APAC) environment.
  • Ability to work with applications and systems that support the following processes: product lifecycle management, ideation management, product planning and requirements gathering, Agile project management, code-development, quality management, test automation, integration and build automation, continuous integration and deployment, issue and problem management, application and infrastructure measurement and monitoring, integration with business systems, information security, and cloud orchestration.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
