Responsibilities:

  • To work as a PMC team member reporting to Commissioning manager.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Commissioning and Training issues during the EPC phase of the works.
  • Ensure an effective safety plan on Construction Site during construction, pre- commissioning, commissioning and start-up of the Project.
  • Attending Project weekly review meetings and monthly progress meetings and ensure the recording of significant agreements reached and/or joint decisions made between all parties, relating to Commissioning and Training issues.
  • Seeking agreements with the Owner on procedures and requirements for closing out EPC Contractor site activities at the Project completion.
  • Review EPC Contractor's Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Start-up procedures and Training Plan.
  • Review EPC Contractor's and Owner/PMC Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up, integrated team organization, coordination procedures, manpower plans and schedules.
  • Monitor the allocation of all Commissioning resources in consideration of relative priorities to meet the overall Project schedule and recommend any appropriate corrective actions where shortage of resources might prejudice the work program.
  • Monitor the planned and actual delivery of equipment and material to site and the handling, storage, maintenance, preservation and installation of such equipment and materials.
  • Review and approval of Commissioning and Start-up Permit to Work and coordination with Owner Operations and Maintenance personnel as necessary.
  • Review and monitor the work performed by the EPC Contractor and monitor quality and compliance with Contract and Project Schedule.
  • Ensure EPC Contractor compliance with drawings and specifications on all areas of the Project.
  • Supervise Pre-commissioning activities carried out by the EPC Contractor.
  • Monitor and coordinate the corrective actions and recommendation of the Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up work performed by EPC Contractor.
  • Verify that the work and corrective work is performed in compliance with the EPC Contract and Owner safety regulations and that workmanship of work and corrective work performed is in accordance with appropriate standards of quality.
  • Monitor and audit the progress of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up work at site against the Project schedule, using information provided in the EPC Contract and report to Owner any delays in the work and propose actions to correct such delays.
  • Support the approval process of the Mechanical Completion and Ready for Commissioning Certificates
  • Conversant with Mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, Commissioning work flow applicable for project execution phase
  • Must have firm knowledge and hands on experience for preparation of system, sub-system mark-ups, OTPs, SATs etc for Mechanical/ process systems
  • Must be conversant with LOTO requirements during commissioning, construction and operation phase
  • Must be a champion of safety with firm knowledge on various commissioning HSE requirements, PTW, PSSR, PHASER etc.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognize University.
  • Relevant years of experience in oil & Gas experience, Petrochemical projects, good team player with understanding of multi-discipline commissioning work approach.
  • Experiences in Offshore upstream projects.
  • Experience in GCC and preferrable with ADNOC.
