Position Overview:

Operating autonomously within a dynamic environment, the HR Generalist possesses extensive knowledge in Human Resources. Serving as a crucial link to various departments including Talent Directors, HR Processing, Talent Acquisition, Risk Management, Payroll, and Benefits, this role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities and oversees the day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the HR team to address associate relations and performance management issues, including investigations, dispute mediation, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Benefits and Risk Management departments to track and report Workers Compensation and leave of absences.
  • Assist in managing Bonus and Sales Agreements for different positions within the region.
  • Monitor and respond to unemployment claims within the region.
  • Coordinate offboarding procedures for associates, conducting exit interviews for voluntary resignations.
  • Maintain and monitor temporary workers, coordinating with Talent Acquisition for screening and new agency agreements.
  • Support HR Team in creating new roles, ensuring proper classification under FLSA standards and collaborating with Total Rewards and Workday processing teams for job profile creation and compensation data gathering.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to HR activities such as staffing, performance evaluations, compliance training, and associate files.
  • Provide support to offsite divisions across multiple states.
  • Address general associate inquiries regarding company policies, procedures, and benefits programs.
  • Assist in tracking legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of HR experience, preferably as a Generalist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business-related discipline.
  • Experience with Workday is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities within a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding associate issues.
  • Familiarity with general payroll systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented team player with a strong work ethic.
