Michelin Engineering Intern

Michelin has several openings for engineering internships (May-Aug) at the Spartanburg, SC facility. WHAT WILL YOU DO

Our current opportunities are in the areas of safety/ergonomics, reliability, progress and digital (data analyst/engineer). Some of the things you might be doing are listed below and vary based on the area of your assignment.

  • Work on a project team to analyze data to improve performance and/or productivity.
  • Improve safety and ergonomics of a work post as well as improve traffic flow within the facility.
  • Assist with productivity, cost-reduction, and continuous-improvement projects.
  • Work with our digital team on developing PI Vision and Power BI displays linking data from different equipment to improve the identification of issues.
  • Improve post layout and flow using tools like 5S.
  • Assist the maintenance team to identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • The ability to interact in a professional manner with external partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Success in working with other people or team to meet a common objective.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office® Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn other software systems.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Currently enrolled in an Engineering or equivalent program at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
