Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Materials Analyst to join our Global Materials Team. The Analyst, Materials will support the planning and coordination of material requirements to ensure timely and efficient production. This role involves working closely with various departments, including Sourcing, Product, Operations, and Logistics, to optimize inventory levels and meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining material requirement plans based on production schedules and forecasts
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to resolve material shortages and ensure smooth production flow
  • Conduct root cause analysis of material planning discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Assist Material Planners with Material transfer and cost tracking
  • Create Weekly usage reports, update purchase order due dates, track ocean freight stage gates
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings in material procurement and inventory management
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply issues
  • Analyze data related to material usage, inventory levels, and supply chain performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of materials
  • Analyze material usage patterns and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Support the Planners in preparing reports and presentations on material planning and inventory performance
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss and address material planning issues
  • Assist in the implementation of process improvements and best practices in material planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field or relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong numerical aptitude and experience with financial modeling
  • Comfortable with complex problems
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, supporting informed decision-making and derive actionable insights
  • Apply quantitative methods to optimize material planning and inventory management
  • Develop and present financial models and reports to support material planning strategies
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Syteline)
