Senior Associate, Markets Operations

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, to join our Market Operations. This role is HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Handle day to day tasks and assist business operations to support the delivery.
  • Responsible for processing, monitoring, researching and analyzing transactions and resolving non-complex inquiries 
  • May coordinate with both internal stakeholders and external stakeholders and/or clients to gather, disseminate, and resolve basic information about transactions. 
  • Responsible for reconciliations to third parties (cash, asset, trade matching, and market value) and analysis, break assignment and resolution of reconciliation breaks and failing trades. 
  • Utilizes understanding of control and procedures required for accurate submission of documentation to regulating bodies to review work of others and provide limited guidance to Regulatory Reporting team. 
  • Responsible for or facilitating the maintenance of trade static data, trade enrichment, and trade exception handling and market claims.
  • Cash management support to process all daily CCR activity and supports monthly client/bank payments related processes.
  • Investigate & liaise with Middle Office, Trading desk and external counterparties for resolution of Breaks.
  • Assist team manager to run daily operations by helping in production of KPI’s KRI’s.
  • Participate in Tech and ops driven projects to provide inputs / ops testing and Implementation.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce, Financial Mgmt.
  • 8-10 years’ experience with and Custodian / Investment bank 
  • Train and provide guidance to subordinated in daily business operations.
  • Identifies areas of improvement for processes designed to cover gaps in controls.
  • Should be able to act as a SME within incident management.
  • Monitor the performance of the team, share feedbacks/Appraisal and raise the standard of delivery.
  • Experience / Acumen towards Operations and Technology initiatives.
