Who You Are

The Associate Director/Director, Strategic Pricing is responsible for pricing and contracting tactics and implementation of in-line and pipeline products.

The Associate Director/Director, Strategic Pricing will analyze and execute pricing strategies and tactics. A strong understanding of and background in managed markets, reimbursement, pricing, and contracting is required. This individual will be required to strategize, analyze, and execute pricing strategy, including but not limited to contracting across the company portfolio and providing insights to leadership on an ongoing basis. This person should be familiar with and able to discuss market access related topics across both IV and oral oncolytic therapies, in addition to familiarity with orphan products. This individual must also operate with multiple internal stakeholders, including Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, and Government Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the tactical development and implementation of the branded & pipeline pricing, forecasting & contracting strategies for the BridgeBio portfolio, taking into account market conditions, competitive landscape, and product positioning
  • Analyze market research to identify pricing trends, competitor strategies, and customer preferences
  • Evaluate legislative policies that impact BridgeBio brands, portfolio GTN impact, policy implication models, and impact on forecasting
  • Modeling Revenue scenarios and GTN impact to inform Strategic Pricing and Contracting decisions
  • Participate with the team in identifying, analyzing, and defining strategy for Medicare Part D, Commercial, Medicaid, VA/DoD, GPO, LTC, and 340B segments
  • Create historical launch benchmarking to help build in-market pricing models to support decision-making with appropriate historical market context
  • Develop contract modeling, contracting models to facilitate decision making and pricing support for national and regional account teams, including monitoring contract performance, development of reporting dashboards, analog modeling and bid tracking
  • Provide recommendations on pricing decisions, including list prices, discounts, rebates, and contracting strategies, to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Creates a thorough assessment of all pricing decisions, contract strategies, and Gross-to-Net impacts, on existing and prospective products including financial forecast modeling and impact analysis for presentation to and decision by the Pricing Committee and Executive Leadership
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, including, but not limited to, MDRP, CMS, and 340B
  • Works with internal stakeholders on any contract negotiation strategies with health care providers, payers, GPOs, government agencies, managed care organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Monitors and analyzes pricing trends, competitive pricing strategies, market access opportunities, and government pricing standards in making strategic decisions and recommendations
  • Proactively monitors and communicates changes in government policies, regulations, pricing guidelines, and legislation that may impact Company pricing and contracts
  • Oversees all data and analysis related to pricing, contracts, and reimbursement to ensure compliance and inform decision making
  • Oversees and monitors the performance of service provider(s) to ensure accurate and timely government pricing calculations and reporting
  • Assesses risks and develops mitigation solutions for potential government pricing compliance violations and/or pricing disputes
  • Ensures compliance with State Drug Pricing Transparency regulations and reporting

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; MBA or higher degree preferred
  • Ten years of biotech/pharma experience, three of which must have been in direct Pricing and Contracting work
  • Demonstrated background and experience in analyzing multiple data sets in line with the current and future policy to build strategies and communicate those strategies to leadership
  • Skilled at oral and written communication of complex data sets and strategies to leadership
  • Expertise in both oral pharmacy and injectable/IV medical benefits, Medicare Part B and D (FFS and Managed), Medicaid, and Federal purchasing programs
  • Solid understanding of the evolving health policy and health system environment for specialty oncology therapies
  • Ability to work interdependently with other departments to execute and operationalize strategies and tactics
  • Competent with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines, stay organized, and be a self-starter
