Purpose - Broad objective of the role

The role will be responsible for day to day India payroll operations not limited to payroll processing but also payroll accounting, payroll compliances, coordinating with stakeholders for payroll submission, handling payroll audits & reconciliations.

Assistant Manager - India Payroll operations

  • The role will be responsible for day to day India payroll operations not limited to payroll processing but also payroll accounting, payroll compliances, coordinating with stakeholders for payroll submission, handling payroll audits & reconciliations.
  • Expert ability to deliver world-class customer service including responding to and assisting employees
  • will assist the team in maintaining accurate payroll data
  • will ensure accuracy of payroll input v/s output
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting/closing process
  • Administer monthly India payroll and assist with monthly global payrolls as needed
  • Assist Employee’s with the investment declaration & proof submission process
  • Allocate/code India payroll invoices for payment.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting as needed

Minimum qualification & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • At least 5-7 years of proven work experience in India payroll
  • Knowledge of local regulations
  • Exposure to International payroll a plus (must have a desire to learn if no current experience)
  • Exposure/experience with benefits would be a plus
  • Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Able to build and effectively manage
  • relationships at all levels of the company.
  • A self-starter, with proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
  • High degree of professionalism; ability to deal sensitively with confidential information

Technical Competencies

  • Should be sound in India Payroll regulations - Income tax, PT, LWF, ESIC & PF.
  • Should be well versed with India employment regulations.
  • Good hands on experience on MS excel, and related applications.
  • Should have knowledge on ERP applications like SAP Successfactors is a plus.
