WebEditor - Brussels

Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic team player to fill the position of WebEditor. You should have a good understanding of the digital environment, website implementation constraints, along with excellent organisational skills. This position is based in Brussels and will work on the EASME project with the European Commission.

Job description:
  • You’ll be drafting and editing content for relevant sections of the website and social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook) in corporate style; 
  • You will improve the readability and usability of the content, by: 
    • Keeping content up to date and accurate; 
    • Supporting the editorial board members in updating the content 
    • Editing and proofreading new content; 
    • Performing comprehensive editorial quality checks; 
    • Provide feedback on CMS; 
    • Manage wrong and missing links (weekly); 
  • You will manage the functional mailbox ; 
  • You will optimise texts for search engine retrieval (SEO), adding metadata to existing content; 
  • You will lead two annual surveys to collect and analyse user feedback;
  • You will implement the content recommendations from surveys and relevant studies; 

Knowledge and skills:
  • Excellent knowledge of digital environment and website implementation constraints;
  • Confidence and creativity to think beyond the obvious and to defend design ideas;
  • Knowledge of print media would be an asset;
  • Knowledge of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics;
  • Experience in web content design and web editing;
  • Knowledge of the latest trends in digital marketing (e.g. Google advertising campaigns); 
  • Excellent copywriting skills; 
  • Ability to devise a social media strategy; 
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video); 

Education and experience:
  • A degree in graphic design, communications or IT
  • At least 3 years of related professional experience 
  • A command of English is mandatory, although French would be an asset
