Job Description

As a valued leader on the Single-Family Marketing team, you will manage a team who is responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of a comprehensive marketing strategy to reach a B2B audience, while ensuring functional alignment with other marketing teams on outreach efforts to align with the needs of lenders, vendors, and other residential lending market stakeholders. The ideal candidate will help develop a marketing vision and architecture that simplifies complex policies, products and processes to encourage user adoption and increase awareness among target audiences. You will leverage deep client insights and knowledge to develop break-through marketing, positioning, messaging and content that differentiates Fannie Mae, while meticulously balancing which attributes resonate with key lender segments and use cases. You will work closely with account teams and internal subject matter experts, such as the Digital Products and Credit Policy teams, to effectuate change through marketing programs that inspire action, all while adding value to help lead the mortgage finance industry to a more sustainable and equitable future.

The Marketing Strategy Manager – Digital Products role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Drive alignment of marketing strategy and execution to support Single-Family Digital Products business priorities, including innovative product capabilities and industry leading solutions.
  • Manage daily activities of a cross-functional marketing team, including Marketing Strategists, Web Developers, Social Media Marketing, External Communications, Program Managers, and corresponding segment leads.
  • Foster strong working relationship within the Marketing & Communications department and beyond, including key product and program teams, as well legal, privacy and fair lending stakeholders.
  • Translate complex mortgage policy and programs to help drive tangible business outcomes by managing external agency partners, creative, media planning, multicultural marketing agencies and research firms.
  • Identify and create business opportunities through proactive consultation with current and potential internal business partners in developing B2B marketing programs, messaging, and key deliverables.
  • Serve as primary Digital Products Marketing Strategist to consult, implement, analyze, and drive in-market differentiation via marketing and related outreach programs with lender audience, as well as other B2B audiences.
  • Manage go to market launch planning and monitoring of digital products and mortgage product innovation strategies with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Evaluate and optimize performance of content, websites, presentations, marketing collateral, event activations and other thought leadership opportunities to amplify the role of Fannie Mae, driving appeal for our mortgage products and solutions with key audiences.
  • Research and identify changes in the marketing environment or competitive strategies and evaluate, adjust, or redraft the organization's marketing plan and philosophy.
  • Establish and monitor adherence to guidelines for developing and implementing marketing plans to serve the business objectives.
  • Ensure the team stays informed of changes in the marketing environment and coordinate market research projects.
  • Motivate agency partners to deliver top quality marketing collateral, messaging, and strategic frameworks in a timely manner within budget parameters.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 6 years
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Managerial experience and collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring
  • Strong relationship management skills that include managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Ability to think critically, systemically, and analytically to evaluate business channels and develop proactive solutions, and drive clarity out of complex products, programs and business realities
  • Proven record overseeing the end-to end B2B marketing strategy and multi-channel execution experience to include research, positioning, and the ability to optimize campaigns based on results (emphasis in digital channels), preferably within the housing finance industry
  • Possess ability to create compelling presentations and skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Adept at managing project plans, deadlines, cross-functional resources, and people to ensure successful project completion, on budget and time. Experience using project management tools including Workfront Fusion and Seismic
  • Clearly present information and results in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communications, etc.
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, driving decisions and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Skilled in business insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate, persuade others, facilitate meetings, and resolve conflict
  • Detail-oriented, independent, and motivated individual who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Tools including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
