As our Global Demand Planner for our Growing Solution Division we need you to ensure to get the most realistic forecast for supply chain. You will make use of the forecasting tool (NSKEP) that supports in statistical methods. Besides this you will also make sure that the market information is incorporated. It is essential to challenge our salesforce to get as market information in at detailed level. In the end sales is responsible for an accurate forecast, but you as our Global Demand Planner should support and facilitate this process in a pro-active way.

About the role 

Your main challenge is to get all the needed information and market data in close cooperation with sales. You will be responsible for reporting projected demand in the system to support sales. Based on this reporting and the financial outlook continuously challenge sales in updating demand based on their insights. This process is setup in a monthly call per region. The output of this monthly cycle will be summarized to have it discussed and confirmed by the business leads. The manager demand planning participates in the regional S&OP to drive this process. 

In addition, you will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Monthly reporting and analysis of forecast accuracy. Facilitate sales to improve overall forecast accuracy, but also use information to challenge stock policies for all SKU’s (make-to-stock vs make-to-order).
  • Make detailed analysis of forecast vs budget and prior years to support Sales in making realistic decisions.
  • Act as knowledge carrier and application manager for the forecasting tool within the company. Maintain master data and facilitate reporting (or report setup) for the business.
  • Timely prepare, analyze, and review budget volumes for the upcoming year. Key is to have the best possible phasing over the months in based on experience and statistical input. 
  • Support introductions of SKU’s in forecasting. Also provide overview of new products on request of the business. Pro-actively contribute to portfolio classification and monthly portfolio review meeting.
  • Monthly reporting and analysis of excess stock. Provide input for financial provisions at quarterly base. Look for opportunities to reduced excess stock. Also facilitate monthly meeting to have attention for reject inventories.

About you 

You have a relevant bachelor’s degree and profound understanding of marketing, sales and supply chain processes with relevant experience.
