Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the software engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Drive the design and architecture of complex software systems, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and promote best practices to ensure the growth and skill development of the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and other engineering teams, to deliver integrated and cohesive solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into our software development process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, working closely with the team to find effective solutions.
  • Continuously assess and improve software development processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Serverless, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Angular
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Able to execute and deliver initiatives toward increasing productivity, system performance, standardization, best practices, and maximizing product quality.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Scrum/Agile development Methodology. Able to drive teams to successful outcomes through empowerment and effective management of priorities.

Good To Have Skills:

  • Proficiency in AWS Services and Elastic Stack
  • Knowledge of Spree e-commerce
