But that's not all! As a Cerence team member you'll also: 

  • Document product requirements, user stories, and artifacts to provide clear guidance for the product development process. 
  • Define a customer and market driven strategy that sets the direction and guides our investments. Communicate the proposed strategy and value to key stakeholders, and define some high-level objectives. 
  • Translate product requirements into semantic specifications and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure effective implementation and alignment with customer needs. 
  • Develop and communicate compelling product roadmaps, refining product positioning and messaging to differentiate our offerings and establish market leadership 
  • Serve as the internal and external product expert, providing comprehensive knowledge and support. 
  • Conduct thorough market research to gain valuable insights into user and OEM customer needs 
  • Engage with sales and customers to gather market requirements, and prioritize them based on strategic alignment and business objectives 
  • Provide support to the sales team through training programs, tools, and resources, enabling them to effectively communicate the value of our products, initiate customer conversations, and accelerate the sales cycle. 
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to devise sales strategies and support them in customer meetings. Proactively track competitors, continually updating information on their strengths and weaknesses 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and propose offensive and defensive strategies to maintain our competitive edge.

Who you are: 

  • Product or project management experience in high-tech software. 
  • Strong automotive background with expertise in infotainment systems. 
  • Solid technical knowledge of natural language understanding and artificial intelligence. 
  • Skilled in driving and moderating cross-functional teams. 
  • Creative and passionate problem solver committed to customer innovation.
  • Team player with hands-on mentality, resilience, and goal-oriented mindset. 
  • Adaptable to multicultural global environments with availability for conference calls outside regular hours. 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Optionally fluent in German language 
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed, this mostly 
  • University degree in computational linguistics, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
