Key Functional Areas - Parts Number management - Manage Part numbers and BOM (Bill of Materials) creation, conduct BOM review and tracking to ensure accuracy and that BOM structure meets the needs of all affected business areas and regions. - Project status and key milestone schedule tracking - Manage device / key market commodity projects, typically from the start of project development to the product launch, and sustaining during mass production - Development sample and Qualification tracking Manage development sample arrangement, monitor qualification status tracking, and the collection of all the related specification, data sheet and report summary - Change Request management and tracking Manage change request and change order (xCo) during product development and sustaining - Cross-functional communication and coordination Interlock, engage and coordinate device development schedules and progress with cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders (Device core team, extended team and platform team) and external business partners (Suppliers, ODM) - Complexity management and tracking - Manage device complexity # of Parts number, # of Suppliers, # of Platforms offer plan and the overall workload tracking in Engineering - Dell IT tools utilization - Utilize various tools along the Dell product development process including Agile, Windchill and Excel for tasks like Parts number and xCO creation & management, SKU and DOM setup, Sustaining xCO management and Engineering Change (ECx) review - Standard tools utilization - Utilize standard tools like MS Office and MS Project to track and manage project activities like sample allocation and tracking, platform, supplier and ODM interlocks, Change Request status tracking, and status summary reporting - Support Program Manager and Core Team - Support and work closely with Program Manager, and host / attend interlock meeting with core team / extended team to track and align project status - Support cross- device operation - Understand the project management process of other devices, to backup respective PjM when needed - Support DSE business operation activities - Utilize various tools for operational data tracking and consolidation, device performance data analysis and report summary making
Education Bachelor degree or equivalent
Work Experience and Requirement - Minimum 3 years related work experience in PC / IT industry - hardware component supplier, integrated system manufacturer, or related technical field - Good knowledge and experience in Parts Number management, Change Request management, and HW/SW development & sustaining project coordination - Experience in PC Commodity / Device product development will be a plus LCD/Touch, WLAN, WWAN, WiGig/NFC, Keyboard, Camera, Audio, Battery, Power Adapter, Power Supply Unit, ODD, HDD, SSD, etc
- Fluent English communication capability and skill speak/listen & read/write, with ability to communicate clearly through oral and written communications to various stakeholders - Proficient in Mandarin communication will be a plus
- Strong in organizing and planning skills- Experience in End-to-End program management will be a plus
- Strong in priority setting, critical thinking, and urgency judgment skill - Ability to drive for results and manage changes & conflicts in working environment - Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment, and deal with multiple deadlines - Ability to work independently, and team player to work in a multi-cultural team across regions - Demonstrate attentiveness to quality and productivity - Ability to use software tools MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Project, etc.- Especially with advanced Excel skills to run sophisticated calculations to derive the information, such as parsing, merging, sorting, conditional formatting, import, export, pivot table and pivot chart
