Responsibilities

The HWIL & Visualization Group is responsible for developing dynamic simulations for rapid assessment, integration, and test of complex systems. Simulation applications range from high-level behavioral simulations to visualize and evaluate system concepts within SysML models to high-fidelity real time simulations and Hardware-in-the-Loop infrastructure to support development, integration and test of Draper systems.

The HWIL & Visualization Group is seeking an Engineer with skills applicable to developing software models in MATLAB, Simulink and C++ and executing real time simulations in a Linux environment. A key responsibility for this position involves taking Simulink models and following a structured process to generate source code that will target a real time simulation environment. Previous experience following a requirements based Systems Engineering process is required. This position will be part of a fast paced team environment with an opportunity to work on a range of defense projects critical for our nation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
  • Demonstrated Modeling and/or simulation related experience
  • Strong ability to apply system modeling and simulation concepts
  • Software development experience utilizing git and agile processes / tools
  • Ability to work and succeed within a Systems Engineering oriented project
  • Demonstrated ability to pick up new tools on the fly (Python, Image Processing, Machine Learning, SysML)
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear Requirements Documents, Test Plans and Test Reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing analytical models of discrete and continuous physical systems
  • Knowledge and familiarity with aerospace systems and related sciences
  • Previous simulation experience with HWIL development, STK, Gaming Engines
  • C and C++ Programming experience, with emphasis on embedded or Linux-based environments. Experience with Linux-based development tools like vim, gcc, gdb, Bash scripting.
  • Linux system use, administration & programming
  • Data analysis and visualization experience

Security Requirement

  • Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
