The Finance team at HPE provides world class decision support driving profitable growth and exceptional shareholder value through our commitment to operational excellence, people development, and innovation. In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting. Our objective is to display all business activities in a financially correct and transparent manner.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Independently leads projects teams to design and implementation of a system solution.
  • Manages internal projects
  • Budget as detailed in Impact section
  • Large/ complex/ single or multiple regions
  • May include detailed design of sponsors’ high-level concept High risk
  • Manages project financials including business impact
  • Meets or exceeds approved budgets
  • Provides reliable financial forecasts to Management
  • Manages stakeholder relationships
  • Manages upper level stakeholder relationships
  • Manages project team: Manages internal as well as external resources with a team size generally greater than 20 people from multiple countries
  • Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members
  • Provides detailed performance review input and development recommendations for team members
  • Contributions have significant impact on company business (Cost, Efficiency, Total Customer Experience (TCE) generally less than $8M and/or internal project budget of approximately $1.5-7M Typically involves medium to high degree of change.

    Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree with a focus in finance or computer science; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Typically 10+ years of experience.

    Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent project management skills for running large, highly complex projects. PMP Certified.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of key services operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management.
  • Speaks with authority to most layers of depth related to project management methods.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and management.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Expert analytical skills and the ability to synthesize change quickly using advanced subject and process knowledge.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to determine impact of process implementations to the larger business.
