About the Marketing Team:

We are a diverse team of marketers, product marketers, and partnerships/events gurus with a common mission: help coaches, players, parents, and fans connect through GameChanger. We’re thinking about how to find new coaches, parents and fans of youth sports - and how to help them get the most from GameChanger. We’re talking with coaches and fans to identify and drive great product enhancements. We’re working with partners to create better experiences for athletes and fans - on the field, at the courts, and in the stands. And we’re obsessed with creating a powerful brand platform that will support and fuel the GameChanger stories we hear every day from our customers.   

The Position:

As Director of Brand Marketing, you’ll oversee GameChanger’s Brand marketing efforts across all consumer channels. The scope of this role includes the activation of Brand strategy across all platforms, and the management of an integrated content and campaign strategy that reflects the Brand’s positioning and supports our Product portfolio.

Critical to this role will be the capacity to develop visionary and compelling marketing to drive Brand awareness, differentiation, affinity, and preference.

You will have primary oversight into the development and execution of an annual brand marketing plan, encompassing all channels including web, email, social, content, co-marketing, partnerships, and paid advertising.

You will manage a small, motivated team of marketers that will deliver Integrated Marketing campaigns that have a measurable and strategic impact on the business.

You will establish a test-and-learn framework for all marketing efforts, and will constantly optimize your programs. In addition, you’ll communicate and share results with the executive team and the broader organization.

Reporting into the VP of Marketing, you’ll work closely with our Product, Design and Engineering teams. In this highly visible role, you will have significant immediate and long term impact on the success of our mission: to contribute to the life changing impact of youth sports.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Brand Affinity & Awareness –  Ensure competitive differentiation and drive consumer consideration, choice, preference, and loyalty.
  • Brand Stewardship  –  Ensure the brand promise, positioning and identity are consistent across all consumer touch points.
  • Marketing Activation & Channel Oversight – Partner with the Product Marketing and Partnerships teams to create content, tools and resources to effectively communicate the brand value proposition. Support Product Marketing’s efforts to effectively launch new products and capabilities, and drive Product success metrics.
  • Content Strategy & Thought Leadership – Develop content strategy that positions GameChanger as a strategic leader in youth sports, and drives demand for new and existing products and services. Leverage a variety of internal and external channels to amplify content and messages. Develop and execute content plans and assets including articles, videos, visual infographics, etc. Oversee social media presence. Lead Integrated Marketing team efforts to distribute and amplify brand content across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Team Development – Hire, lead and develop GameChanger’s Brand & Integrated Marketing team. Provide direction and coaching to staff and allocate the resources necessary to achieve product and business objectives.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience in Brand or Integrated Marketing at a consumer tech, CPG, or media company, with extensive experience developing and delivering successful campaigns in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience overseeing key marketing channels, including (but not limited to) email, social, content, paid, partner, offline.
  • Demonstrated record of delivering effective brand and marketing strategies resulting in increased awareness, preference, conversion, and loyalty.
  • Proven ability to identify the metrics to drive success, measure KPI's, socialize learnings, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • A self-starter and thought-leader with strong experience building and leading teams as well as managing, coaching and developing direct reports.
  • Superior analytical, written and communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to all levels within an organization.
  • Strong strategic business analytical skills, testing mindset, entrepreneurial and creative spirit a must.
  • Strong customer-centric focus.
  • Understanding of and passion for amateur sports and relevant markets a plus.
