The Policy and Regulatory Affairs (PRA) program directly engages on behalf of Remitly in a nonpartisan manner with global policymakers, regulators, and other third parties to educate and provide perspectives on our business, the future of remittances, and digital financial services.
About the Role:
As the Head of EMEA and APAC Policy and Regulatory Affairs you will lead our PRA function for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and represent Remitly before policymakers and government stakeholders in the EMEA region. As business needs arise, you will also provide ad hoc support in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The successful candidate will proactively develop strategies to enable business priorities in this region, build relationships with key policymakers, government stakeholders and influential third parties, and will interface directly with the relevant business teams to be able to authoritatively represent all aspects of Remitly's business in the regions. An entrepreneurial spirit, willingness to deeply understand cross border payments issues and regulations and experience with policy maker engagement are required.
