Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Director for Marketing and Communications (DMC), the EOSE Web and Digital Content and Project Manager (DCPM) is a key member of the marketing and communications team with a primary focus on social media content creation, web site maintenance and strategy. This role is responsible for managing content across the entirety of Berklee City Music digital channels, including social media, websites, campus digital signage, and institutional email communications to include designated initiatives with Berklee PULSE and EOSE. With guidance from the DMC, the DCPM works with constituents including and not limited to Berklee Inc at-large, City Music Boston Clubhouses, and Berklee City Music Network to develop and execute impactful content that supports Berklee City Music and EOSE goals, builds brand identity and awareness, and engages target audiences. This role regularly uploads, refreshes and maintains current content on Berklee College of Music--Berklee City Music websites, social media channels, through email campaigns, analytics, and recommends strategies to improve performance and drive results.
As project manager for the marketing and communications team, and with oversight from the DMC, the DCPM demonstrates leadership by furthering Berklee City Music as a movement for arts education through timely campaign strategies with KPIs that include but are not limited to developing and maintaining of a plan to engage for City Music alumni, attending (and taking students as needed to) press junkets, working with Berklee’s marketing and communications divisions and teams on writing press releases, and establishing a strategy for social media.
The DCPM manages marketing and communications team administrative duties (and as assigned) by the DMC. The DCPM supports the DMC supporting scheduling, calendaring, event planning, communications and more. It is essential that the DCPM be self-motivated, a self-starter and demonstrate a commitment to projects, a sensitivity, integrity and confidence in an effort to effectively represent EOSE, and a zeal for supporting youth from diverse backgrounds and the creative arts.

Founded in 1993, Berklee City Music is an education program that harnesses the energy of contemporary music and the performing arts to reach underserved 4th to 12th graders and their teachers. As a pre-college program, the Boston-based program is currently comprised of approximately 3,200 students, over 65 dedicated Berklee College faculty and Berklee alumni teaching artists, and experienced, highly motivated, and specialized administrative staff. The Network is comprised of over 47 member sites and affects over 65,000 youth annually. The DCPM contributes to the growth development and holistic vision of the Berklee City Music international Network. The DCPM is a dynamic and self-motivated individual, who has experience in the areas of youth development and services. They/s/he is eager to serve and is versed in nonprofit or school administrative management, cutting-edge music arts in education practices, and youth development. The DCPM possess knowledge of the best practices in popular, contemporary and world music pedagogies, more specific to the musical practices and pedagogical and methodological traditions of the African diaspora. The DCPM is an inspiring leader with humility who is dedicated to service and can motivate and empower constituents into transformative experiences who embraces being a lifelong learner. The DCPM is caring, passionate, cooperative and collaborative, and has the ability to speak to anyone. He/she has respect for and experience with bureaucratic and hierarchical structures that require active listening, patience, mild tenacity and humility both internally and externally. SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, ETC.:
The DCPM is expected to participate in all major City Music concerts and events, to including but not limited to: the Summit, annual Completion Ceremonies and Open Houses, the City Music Academies Annual Concert, and the City Music Summer Scholarship Concert. Programming occurs in cycles during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Work schedule includes weekdays, evenings, and weekends as circumstances require.
This position is in-person given the interaction with college work-study students and constituencies.
