As a Media Planner at Mic, you will coordinate with Mic’s sales team to create proactive and reactive sales proposals. Ideal candidates will have a passion for managing detailed projects from start to finish and experience collaborating with cross-functional team members. You must have an understanding of and desire to learn more about the media landscape, the social web, and the underlying technologies that service successful media companies.



  • Participate in RFP brainstorms alongside Sales, Brand Strategy and Creative Services teams
  • Work closely with Brand Strategists to develop proposals for RFPs and proactive outreach
  • Own the creation and management of all sales proposal media plans
  • Work with ad ops to ensure all proposals are executable
  • Prepare reports used by management and sales teams for forecasting and analysis of site inventory
  • Be involved in client communication and able to speak to the media strategy and product recommendations on the media plan
  • Manage Mic’s default and agency specific rate cards
  • Input media proposals into 3rd party planning tools: Sizmek, Prisma, DCM
  • Oversee campaign’s results and help translate information into observations/lessons learned
  • Staying up to date on Social Media ad offerings and brainstorming ways on how to incorporate them into RFPs
  • Work with the Manager of Revenue Operations to develop pricing and standards for new sales products


  • 2+ years of experience working at a media agency or digital publisher
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to translate client objectives into media strategies
  • Solid understanding of general advertising and marketing performance metrics
  • Working knowledge of media planning and research tools (Comscore, Nielsen, Sizmek, DCM, Atlas)
  • Proficiency with business software and tools: OSX, Google Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Keynote
  • Experience with Paid Social Media campaigns, specifically Facebook Ads Manager
  • Ability to write in a clear, compelling and concise manner
