Project Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Define project strategies, considering technical feasibility, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish contingency plans to mitigate potential project risks. 

Project Execution and Management:

  • Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Implement effective project management methodologies and tools to optimize project efficiency.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and managing expectations.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and achievements to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and address potential environmental impacts associated with the project, implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

Budget and Cost Control: 

  • Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project expenditures.
  • Review and approve project-related contracts, change orders, and invoices. 

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish quality control processes and standards to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor project quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent reoccurrence. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in project management within the petrochemical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of petrochemical processes, equipment, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale petrochemical projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and standards
