Senior Application Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) DBA

Qualifications:

  1. Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA with specific experience in Oracle E-Business Suite.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS architecture and modules (e.g., Financials, Supply Chain, HRMS).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, and 19c.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  1. Performance Tuning:
  • Expertise in database and application performance tuning and optimization.
  • Ability to analyze AWR/ASH reports and implement performance improvements.
  1. Problem Solving:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  1. Communication Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  1. Certifications (Preferred):
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) in Oracle Database Administration.
  • Certifications in Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure are a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in SOX-compliant environments.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS upgrades and customizations.
  • Experience in supporting global implementations and multi-language environments.
  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Database Management:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite applications and databases.
  • Perform regular database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  1. Performance Tuning:
  • Conduct performance tuning for Oracle databases, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for improved performance.
  1. Backup and Recovery:
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery processes using Oracle RMAN and other tools.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
  1. Security Management:
  • Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
  • Manage user access, roles, and permissions to ensure data security.
  1. Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Oracle EBS applications and databases.
  • Resolve database issues and collaborate with application teams to identify solutions.
  1. System Integration:
  • Integrate Oracle EBS with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports, interfaces, and extensions for Oracle EBS.
  1. Documentation:
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, procedures, and processes.
  • Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures for database management and support.
  1. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise for Oracle EBS implementations.
