Lazard is seeking a Senior M&A Associate / Junior Vice President to join the Technology-Enabled Business Services team in Minneapolis. The position offers an outstanding career opportunity in investment banking with a highly successful team specializing in mergers and acquisitions for private market clients with enterprise values ranging from $100M - $2B+. The Tech-Enabled Services team is highly active and successful with more than 100 deals closed since 2011. This team works with market leading companies across a range of business-to-business (B2B) sectors, including HR & Human Capital, IT, Marketing & Media, and Facilities Services.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Prepare and participate in new business presentations
  • Conduct business and industry research
  • Perform valuation analysis and financial modeling
  • Prepare marketing materials including confidential offering memoranda and management presentations
  • Utilize data to drive insights and inform key “selling themes”
  • Engage in significant client interaction at multiple levels
  • Develop views on potential buyers
  • Interact with potential buyers
  • Facilitate sales processes, including managing the due diligence process
  • Participate in the development, training, and mentoring of Analysts and more junior Associates

You’ll need to have:

  • High motivation with a strong desire to be the "best of the best"
  • Strong interest in business-to-business services companies
  • At least three years of M&A investment banking experience, including at least two years at the Associate level strongly preferred
  • An MBA preferred but not required
  • Strong undergraduate and graduate academic performance (3.5 GPA or better)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong foundational skills, including advanced modeling and financial / data analysis (experience with tools such as PowerBI are a plus)
  • Ability to work a demanding schedule

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $225,000 - $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
