Purpose:
To provide support to the Development Department with emphasis on grant writing to secure funding from public and private entities that will benefit organizational programs and projects.
Qualifications:
- Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings
- Must possess a valid Driver's License which meets company standards for approved driver status
- Must possess an Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- Must possess at least two years of experience with grants
- Must possess strong computer skills
Essential Functions
- Prepares and submits grant proposals to corporate, private and government funding sources
- Monitors implementation and compliance of successful applications
- Coordinates the development and timely submission of reports to funding agencies
- Ensures that grant reporting guidelines are followed
- Meets compliance deadlines
- Updates appropriate program and administrative staff on an bi-monthly basis
- Researches and identifies new funding prospects to meet organization’s priorities
- Conducts research for operational needs and community resources to build partnerships that strengthen grant applications
- Maintains in-depth prospect files and tracking systems
- Develops written program language for all programs and projects
- Provides support to Director of Grants in conducting assessments of programmatic and financial needs of designated programs
- Performs all other duties as assigned
