The Department of Economics at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 16, 2024. This is a full-time, nine-month, time-limited, non-tenure-accruing position with a possibility of a one-year renewal for the 2025-26 academic year subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance.

The successful candidate will contribute to the Department’s research enterprise by conducting high-quality research and preparing manuscripts for publication in leading economics journals. They will also contribute to the Department of Economics’ vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department currently offers an undergraduate major, undergraduate minor, 4+1 BA/MA program, and Ph.D. program. The Department’s curricular offerings have shifted toward placing stronger emphasis on econometric methods and data analysis in recent years. While the Department welcomes applications from all fields, applicants who can teach undergraduate and graduate courses in managerial economics and econometrics are especially encouraged to apply.

Expected Salary:

The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.
