About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in our upcoming rebranding project. This project involves transitioning our Portals and File Transfer applications for prior authorization and utilization management to align with the company's new brand identity.
In this role, you will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the software development team. You will be responsible for eliciting requirements, documenting them clearly, and ensuring they are translated effectively into actionable plans for the development team.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements for the rebranding project.
- Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement within the Portals and File Transfer applications.
- Define and document functional, high-level, and detailed system requirements for the requested software changes.
- Develop and maintain detailed estimates and workplans for project activities, managing timelines and scope.
- Present requirements to business leaders and facilitate discussions to ensure clarity and build consensus.
- Obtain sign-off on deliverables from all impacted parties.
- Participate in solution design reviews and ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders, resolving technical questions and ensuring clear communication throughout the project.
- Drive the development of test cases and scenarios (excluding user acceptance testing) .
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in Visio, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and Jira.
- Mid-level SQL experience for querying and analyzing data.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (ideally 2-week sprints with teams of 6-8 people).
- 5-8 years of experience in the healthcare industry (a plus).
- Experience with testing methodologies, including writing test cases and conducting manual testing.
