Sr. Business Analyst

The Sr. BA's primary responsibility is to understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and coordinate with other disciplines to recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Under general direction of a Strategic Business Analyst or Manager and/or Program Manager.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Ingests discovery documentation to drive BA services and deliverables for agile project team(s) using ADO. The Sr BA typically works with the teams product owner, business SME's and Strategic BA to complete feature decomposition within ADO (documentation of capabiltiy needs and requirements). Next coordinate story level acceptance criteria and task definitions with the agile delivery team.
Some typical deliverables for the Sr BA include business process driagrams; solution context diagrams (data flows, but non-technical); field mapping from source to target systems; 2 week work plans aligning to priorities. The Sr BA is also responsible for maintaining a healthy backlog of current and future (2 wk) Sprint priorities as directed from the PO. Help coordinate succesful demos/POC's.
Manages traceability of requirements to ensure alignment to project goals and objectives as well as alignment to development and testing plans. Works with project teams on risk issues to evaluate impacts of defects and to develop plans for resolution and mitigation. Work with teams to ensure proposed solutions align with requirements and maximize value to stakeholders. Assists PM with project coordination tasks. Assist with other duties as assigned.
