We’re looking for a manager to lead a team of highly skilled developers and technical leaders to drive the development of solutions that support multi-billion dollar scale processes, push the envelope on agile processes, IoT, Cloud and open source technologies.

Job Description

We are looking for a manager for our Managed Print Services IT Team. The successful candidate will manage, mentor and develop a team of highly skilled individuals in delivering and growing a portfolio of MPS Software Services that are consumed by the Managed Print Services business domain and end customers.

We are looking for a strategic, innovative thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills. The right candidate must be passionate about customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for the smooth and effective development and deployment of multiple concurrent, complex software projects to our customer base.

Major components of the role include…

  • Develops innovative solutions to business or technology problems.
  • Exerts influence beyond the immediate team; demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective business engagement with internal customers and effective management of programs and initiatives.
  • Providing direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors designing, developing enhancing and updating MPS solutions and services.
  • Providing people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development.
  • Responsible for driving delivery of the MPS IT services roadmap (IT technical roadmap).
  • Provides technical as well as people leadership and manage activities of both Individual Contributors and Service Providers in the portfolio.
  • Directs and control relationship management activities with the business and other partner IT groups.
  • Plans, directs, and monitors high-end operational activities of staff and drives the strategic plan for the team.
  • Drives architectural simplification and ensures capabilities and applications are done “once for the company”.
  • Ensures team meets or enables achievement of relevant IT metrics and commitments per IT business goals and objectives.
  • Communicates organizational plans and strategies and drives performance planning and review.
  • Exerts influence beyond the immediate team; demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective business engagement with internal customers and effective management of programs and initiatives.
  • Drives change management in the team and organization; takes personal ownership of the IT strategy and drives support of it.
  • Provide time / resource estimates for assigned projects. Assigns work to others. Provides business and people leadership of assigned project.

    Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, and/or Computer Science / Information Management with at least six years’ experience in an IT development team environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years management or supervisory experience in an IT environment.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated experience leading IT enterprise development and implementation teams using both Agile and Waterfall methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to envision and implement new IT services strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a mix IT resourcing models (internal and external resources) in both onshore, offshore and mixed models.
  • Basic understanding of vendor contractual arrangements and SLA management.
  • Candidate should have a track record for leading change, monitoring processes and driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Must be comfortable with leading change and growth.
  • Understanding of the Managed Print Service industry an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills for attracting, developing and retaining world-class talent
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience leading technical development teams. Experience of delivery using Agile methodologies in a Cloud environment would be highly advantageous.
