Job Description

Your Responsibilities:

  • Understand and analyze requirements
  • Software design, development and test
  • Design, implement, document, and maintain software build processes, tools, and scripts used to build and compile software code into executable artifacts and subsequently package executable artifacts into deployable installation packages (such as MSI files)
  • Participate or lead Software Design Documents and Technical Reviews
  • Defect analysis, correcting and testing
  • Present code for review and review other developers code
  • Work with project managers, developers, and testers to execute software configuration management and software build activities for individual software projects
  • Work with engineering management, software architects, and developers to enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and guidelines  

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering
  • 3+ years’ experience in software development and/or software configuration management/DevOps
  • 3+ years' Experience working in Linux\Unix software development environments
  • Experience working in Windows development environments a plus
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment using tools such as: Jenkins, CruiseControl, Electric Commander, TeamCity
  • Configuration management and/or software development experience in an FDA-regulated industry is a plus
  • Experience with source code version control systems, preferably RTC, ClearCase and/or Subversion
  • Experience with build and scripting tools such as ANT/NAnt, Maven, MSBuild, Perl, VBScript, Windows batch files and UNIX shell scripting
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following programming languages: Java, C#, Perl, Python
  • Experience with PXE, Install Shield or WiX installation tools
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and support skills
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex technical problems and concepts quickly
  • Ability to globally communicate and collaborate ideas and technical information clearly in both verbal and written forms
  • Ability to manage time and reconcile divergent demands coming from multiple project teams
