Summary:

 

Responsible for managing the securities operations teams - Income Processing, Corporate Actions, Tax Middle Office, Asset Pricing and Securities Lending.  This scope can further change and/or expand depending on the business needs.

 

This is a leadership role with full management responsibility for the functions to include the annual performance management process, identifying training and development needs, and establishing standards for the group in coordination with Global Securities Operations stakeholders and Manila site leadership.

 

The job holder will make sound staffing decisions, and ensure resources are available to accomplish priorities. The incumbent will participate in the strategic planning and setting goals and priorities based on the direction set for the functions and the country displaying strong leadership skills to ensure that objectives are met. 

 

The role will require ensuring there is adherence to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) from each of the home countries following the regulatory oversight guidelines within each country. The holder will ensure variances to SLA are investigated and trends identified and resolved.

 

The holder will participate and provide connectivity to the asset transformation projects and provide support to local and global teams as required.

 

Additionally, the job holder will have responsibility for developing and managing the function’s budget and expense plan.  

 

Overall, the job holder will provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee participation, teamwork, and communication.

 

Major Duties:

  • Lead and develop the Securities Operations teams to demonstrate high quality execution and operational processes delivery in the region
  • Partner with peers in each region (APAC, NA & EMEA )   to develop and ensure consistent global metrics, processes and templates
  • Develop functional policies, processes and procedures as needed within the framework of the Global model, working with control, PMO & Risk as needed
  • Ensure functional teams are resourced appropriately to meet client needs
  • Develop and manage functional budget
  • Establish positive and collaborative relationships with appropriate personnel in the home countries as well as with external clients as applicable based on functions moving to region
  • Lead the hiring, coaching and evaluation of performance for the securities operations teams
  • Provide leadership for governance as needed to ensure future migrations/ expansions are managed seamlessly.
  • Assure adherence to Risk & Control, Compliance standards
  • Monitor and manage the overall Daily deliverables including evaluating workload capacity, assessing risks, and tracking/reporting status
  • Manage geographically-disbursed virtual teams as needed to ensure client service levels are being met or exceeded
  • Work closely with the local leadership team on office wide initiatives and priorities

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Excellent people management skills
  • Good Technical knowledge Asset servicing or Asset Management Front, Middle and Back office operations with a working knowledge of of the processing of Corporate Actions and Income payments a requirement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels in an organization

Experience/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years operational management experience preferably within the Asset Management/Servicing space.
  • Demonstrable experience of building collaborative environments and a strong client service culture
