Working with multiple lines of business we manage many streams of Apple-scale data. We bring it all together and unleash business value. We do all this with an outstanding group of software engineers, data scientists, dev-ops engineers and managers. Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in SRE/Devops
  • Extensive experience in managing the applications on AWS & Kubernetes
  • Strong Experience in Infrastructure templating tools like CloudFormation, Terraform
  • Deep Understanding of Networking concepts on Cloud, like VPCs, Route 53, Security Groups, NLB/ALB on AWS, Kubernetes network model
  • Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for large scale application on AWS & Kubernetes
  • Strong background in config management tools like Ansible/Salt/Chef/Puppet.
  • Strong proficiency with Helm and Kustomize for managing Kubernetes applications and configurations.
  • Experience in GitOps based deployment tools like Spinnaker/Flux/ArgoCD
  • Experience in enabling AutoScaling for both VM & Containerized workloads
  • Deep understanding of Object Oriented Programming skills like Java.
  • Experience in Performance tuning JVMs & Operating Systems like Linux
  • Strong programming skills in Unix & Python
  • Good understanding of Data Security for Cloud based applications
  • Excellent analytical & problem solving skills

Come join Apple's Applied Machine Learning Team, as a Senior Cloud DevOps/ Site Reliability Engineer, to help build & support innovative software applications. The ideal candidates should have a strong background in setting up and supporting the infrastructure for large scale big data applications in public cloud like AWS. The main responsibilities for this position include: Build & Support CI/CD tools to port & manage applications on AWS & Kubernetes Ability to understand the application requirements (Performance, Security, Scalability etc.) and assess the right services/topology on AWS & Kubernetes Deploy & Support applications onto Kubernetes based environments - On-prem K8s, AWS EKS. Build automation to enable self-healing systems Build tools to monitor & alert the high performance and low latency applications on AWS Ability to troubleshoot application specific, core network, system & performance issues. Involvement in challenging and fast paced projects supporting Apple's business by delivering innovative solutions. Monitor production, staging, test and development environments for a myriad of applications in an agile and multifaceted organization. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, proactive, and a solution-oriented individual.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
