Team overview and job responsibilities 

We are looking for a bright engineer to join our Sales team as Industrial Sales Engineer. Based in Buenos Aires - Argentina, the candidate will be responsible for establishing new customer contacts and maintaining the relationship with our existing customer base. 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and guide sales activities, prospecting business with the market and with customers predefined in the channel, and in areas of application of products, aiming at greater sales participation to ensure the established goals, results defined in the management plan, agreements with pre-established guidelines. 
  • Monitor and analyze the activities of the customers defined in the portfolio, establishing controls that allow evaluations of quotations, data and information that contribute to the preparation of sales cycle planning and continuous search for increased participation. 
  • Together with Management, participate in the definition of plans, strategic goals and sales policies, supporting decisions with information and market data for negotiations with customers and representatives, as well as analyzing and monitoring the results of plans and goals. 
  • Accomplish the objectives of established plans and goals, map the main areas of operation, aiming to guarantee the continuous search for sales and the achievement of goals and the fulfillment of negotiations established with customers. 
  • Contribute to maintaining the company's market share, interacting with active and potential customers, internal areas, among others, in order to meet their needs regarding the company's cost and availability interests. 
  • Search for information to evaluate the competitor's sales actions; purchase potential as well as new projects in progress, as well as prospecting various information from the market and customers.
  • Ensure the best image of the company and products on the market, maintaining frequent contacts with customers. 
  • Ensure the desired results in sales movements, through adequate control of expenses keeping them within the limits of the approved budget, as well as perform sales expense controls and other similar control rates, analyzing sales performance and movement records and credit. 
  • Contribute to the planning and review of market activities, obtaining and communicating the activities and penetration of competitors' sales, as well as identifying and internalizing customer needs in terms of products, services and application, anticipating the competition. 
  • Monitor the competitors' technical / commercial activities to detect any need to inform any need to adjust the strategy previously defined by the group. 
  • Prepare sales follow-up reports for your portfolio and recommend actions when necessary. 

Who are we looking for? 

We’re looking for a Sales Engineer who is eager to succeed and capable of moving in a heterogeneous market with resilience and a customer-oriented approach. We are looking for the following skills and motivations: 

  • At least 3 years of commercial sales experience.
  • Graduates in Engineering, Comercialization or similar.
  • Previous experience within electrical/electronic industry and/or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electromechanical or Electronics will be considered a plus.
  • Advanced English & Spanish.
  • Availability to travel locally and regionally to attend costumers´ needs. Driving licence is a plus.

Principales Responsabilidades 

  • Coordinar y orientar las actividades de ventas, prospección de negocios con el mercado y con clientes predefinidos en el canal, y en áreas de aplicación de productos, apuntando a una mayor participación en ventas para asegurar las metas establecidas, resultados definidos en el plan de gestión, acuerdos con lineamientos preestablecidos.
  • Monitorear y analizar las actividades de los clientes definidos en el portafolio, estableciendo controles que permitan evaluaciones de cotizaciones, datos e información que contribuyan a la elaboración de la planificación del ciclo de ventas y búsqueda continua de mayor participación.
  • Junto con la Dirección, participar en la definición de planes, metas estratégicas y políticas de ventas, apoyando las decisiones con información y datos de mercado para las negociaciones con clientes y representantes, así como analizando y monitoreando los resultados de los planes y metas.
  • Cumplir con los objetivos de los planes y metas establecidos, mapear las principales áreas de operación, con el objetivo de garantizar la búsqueda continua de ventas y el logro de metas y el cumplimiento de las negociaciones establecidas con los clientes.
  • Contribuir al mantenimiento de la participación de mercado de la empresa, interactuando con clientes activos y potenciales, áreas internas, entre otros, con el fin de satisfacer sus necesidades en cuanto a los intereses de costo y disponibilidad de la empresa.
  • Buscar información para evaluar las acciones de venta del competidor; potencial de compra, así como nuevos proyectos en curso, así como la prospección de información diversa del mercado y los clientes.
  • Asegurar la mejor imagen de la empresa y productos en el mercado, manteniendo contactos frecuentes con los clientes.
  • Asegurar los resultados deseados en los movimientos de ventas, a través de un adecuado control de los gastos manteniéndolos dentro de los límites del presupuesto aprobado, así como realizar controles de gastos de ventas y otras tasas de control similares, analizando el desempeño de ventas y los registros de movimiento y crédito.
  • Contribuir a la planificación y revisión de las actividades del mercado, obteniendo y comunicando las actividades y penetración de las ventas de los competidores, así como identificando e internalizando las necesidades del cliente en términos de productos, servicios y aplicación, anticipándose a la competencia.
  • Monitorear las actividades técnico/comerciales de los competidores para detectar cualquier necesidad de informar cualquier necesidad de ajustar la estrategia previamente definida por el grupo.
  • Preparar informes de seguimiento de ventas para su cartera y recomendar acciones cuando sea necesario. 

¿A quién buscamos? 

Estamos buscando un Ingeniero de Ventas que esté ansioso por tener éxito y capaz de moverse en un mercado heterogéneo con resiliencia y un enfoque orientado al cliente. Buscamos las siguientes habilidades y motivaciones: 

  • Al menos 3 años de experiencia previa en ventas comerciales.
  • Graduados en Ingeniería, Comercialización o similares.
  • La experiencia previa dentro de la industria eléctrica / electrónica y/o Máster en Ingeniería Eléctrica, Electromecánica o Electrónica se considerará una ventaja.
  • Inglés y Español avanzado.
  • Disponibilidad para viajar local y regionalmente para atender las necesidades de nuestros clientes. Licencia de conducir es un plus.
