Job Description

Are you known for having a your ear to the ground with key technology trends? Do you have experience with various marketing techniques, including online and traditional marketing required? Do you love coordinating presentation content with other key partners and collaborating across all departments to generate event content and agendas? We wake up each morning eager to build, drive, plan, and implement extraordinary programs for marketing, targeting prospects and existing customers, as well as contributing to the success of the sales team's pipeline goals. Public Sector programs will span across the US Federal (FED) and State Local Education Department (SLED) market spaces. It will involve daily interaction with the Public Sector sales teams, require an understanding of the buying behavior in this industry specific market and good insight of what channel/3rd party involvement is needed to get the deal to the finish line. You'll be collaborating with teams across the globe in multiple different departments and doing all of this while hosting and running your programs to precision (travel would be 25%).

What you will be doing:
  • Craft and execute targeted marketing programs tailored toward the US Federal Government, US Federal System Integrators(*) and SLED market to meet demand generation goals, including but not limited to field events, account based marketing, executive programs and trade-shows
  • Work closely with sales teams to craft account-level marketing plans for top strategic accounts
  • Working with Events Manager, plan, drive attendance to and execute a Public Sector specific Elastic{ON} Tour - 500+ attendees annually (October) and pilot an industry specific roundtable/breakout for this segment from our annual user conference, Elastic{ON} 2018 (February)
  • Help drive demand creation and lead generation activity in developing qualified sales leads and creating brand awareness activities
  • Forecast, measure and analyze impact of Public Sector programs on sales cycles; produce weekly reports and monthly dashboards to demonstrate campaign progress and region success
  • Coordinate logistics, speakers, agendas, and staff for Elastic events, and manage budget
  • Work with Regional Channel Managers and top resellers and Integration partners in the development of partner-specific programs to deepen relationships, extend reach and promote growth with the partner ecosystem, to drive partner awareness, enablement and vendor preference in Public Sector

What you've done:Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-5 + years’ experience in the IT/ software industry
  • 2-3 + years’ field marketing experience in Public Sector space
  • 2-3 + years channel marketing experience or solid understanding of partnership objectives in Public Sector space
  • CRM systems experience, preferably SFDC. Experience of using event registration systems such as EventBrite, Marketo and Splash
  • Highly organized and eye for detail
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams and colleagues
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, energizing environment is very important
  • Flexibility and willing to do more than just the job description says is a requirement
  • Preferred Location - Washington DC Metro Area
