Asana’s sales organization leverages insights from large amounts of data to inform its go-to market strategy and to identify key bets as we scale globally. This has allowed us to grow a hyper-efficient sales organization and we are looking for a Revenue Strategy and Operations Analyst that will help take us into the next stage of sustainable growth.

The ideal Analyst would be able to combine their quantitative background with a consultative approach to identify opportunities within our business model for revenue growth, run the analysis to confirm their assumptions, and clearly communicate the results to stakeholders across sales, marketing, customer success, product, and finance.

This isn’t your typical analyst role. Instead of spending time running reports for sales managers on email activity (we can do that already), we expect the analyst to go two or three levels deeper into the data, do special adhoc projects for our VP of Sales, uncover potential opportunities to spin off new teams or experiments, and to build predictive and prescriptive data models that help us become a world-class sales organization.

Lastly, Asana has invested in world-class data infrastructure that brings together both the product and all operational teams to help enable you to do meaningful work efficiently.

Example Projects

  • Building a cadence for analyzing the sales pipeline and metrics (pipeline growth, conversion rates, average selling price, etc )
  • Running market research for identifying our total addressable market for new regions and strategic input on sales go-to-market strategy
  • Iterating on existing lead scoring methods and designing new models to help the sales team increase efficiency
  • Assisting on designing sales territories using a data-driven approach to ensure equitability and high probability for reps’ success
  • Working with finance and our compensation lead to set team targets and quotas that are aligned with the company’s goals and motivating for sales reps

Must-Haves

  • Experience in business ops or an analytical role in finance or consulting
  • Ability to understand sales data and map it to overall company financial metrics
  • Experience with Excel, Python, or other analysis tools
  • Ability to decipher intricacies in the data and craft a story with the data that resonates with humans
  • Quick iterative approach that manages thoroughness and excellence with delivering projects and results on time
  • A deep, genuine curiosity for the business and how it works
  • An openness to constructive feedback and growth
  • High levels of integrity

Nice to Haves

  • Experience and understanding of a SaaS business model and related KPIs
  • Experience using a BI tool like Looker, Tableau, Qlik (we use Looker)
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • Degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or other equivalent quantitative studies

Does the above sound like it might be you? Then we’d love to hear from you. Our goal is to provide a hiring and working experience in which all people know they are equally respected and valued. So whatever it is that makes you unique—your gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, citizenship, educational background, socioeconomic status—we value it, and we’d love to see what you might add to our team.
