DESCRIPTION

You will work on building a 0 to 1 business for Amazon ads in a fast-growing industry. You will help SMB advertisers meet their business objectives using Amazon ads.

Key job responsibilities

We’re looking for a highly motivated Business development Manager who is passionate about building a 0 to 1 business. You will understand the local ads landscape in India, do competitive benchmarking of our ad products, understand customer needs and propose and build new ad products to cater this market working closely with product and tech teams. You will need to have expertise in digital advertising and experience in building new product innovations.

You will also be responsible for pitching our existing display ads portfolio to bring incremental in-year business for Amazon ads. You will own the end-to-end client lifecycle from identification of accounts, doing cold reach-outs, pitching to hot leads and servicing the clients. Servicing will be supported with an internal ops team. You will need to have expertise in sales, client servicing and a strong knowledge of digital advertising (preferably programmatic advertising).

You will work closely with internal sales, product, creatives and support teams to address customer needs, acting as the voice of the customer to help drive product enhancements, and create solutions on behalf of your customers. Your ownership, curiosity, and industry knowledge will allow you to comprehensively understand the technical details of our offerings and be able to speak to customers. Your customer obsession and ability to influence internal stakeholders will allow you to drive the right solution for our customers. You will be involved in both customer-facing interactions (with agency and advertiser) as well as internal stakeholder teams.

About the team

Amazon ads helps brands, agencies, entrepreneurs drive measurable business outcomes. Our ad solutions include search ads (sponsored product, brands, display), programmatic display ads (DSP), video ads (Mini TV, Fire TV) and other advanced products (Alexa audio, on-package advertising). Search ads are focused on driving lower funnel outcomes whereas the other ad products focus on mid and upper funnel. Within Amazon ads, GCS team works with 120k+ SMB advertisers who sell products on Amazon. We are now looking to expand to local/regional SMB advertisers who may/may not be selling products on Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of sales experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building high-velocity ad products
  • Experience in advertising
  • Experience in DSP/ad network sales
