In this opportunity, as a Solution Architect, you will understand the requirements and challenges of client environments and work with our global team as a Solution Architect in the infrastructure and cloud domain to provide consultation, define requirements, implement and propose improvements to solutions, you will lead solution consulting, requirements definition, implementation and improvement proposals, design and construction, and operations.
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Understand the customer's business issues and requirements, develop solutions, and prepare proposals.
Present solutions to clients.
Create solutions in collaboration with the solution leader and the project team.
Develop plans for knowledge transfer and operational design for on-premise and cloud-based operational services.
Prepare cost effective and technically superior solutions to customers business and technical requirements. Showcase / demonstrate value additions to customer
Work with various cloud service providers to get the best options and optimal costs for the customers requirements.etc.
Expertise in:
Able to communicate in English (used for meetings with our internal technical team, etc.)
Fluent Japanese Level
and expertise in any of the following:
MS Azure and AWS architectures
Traditional on-premises, Private and Public Cloud architecture
DevOps, and/or other agile software development methodologies
Cloud Computing Software (OpenStack, SoftLayer, etc.)
Network and security technologies in public cloud environments
VMware: ESXi, vSwitch operations, SRM (site recovery manager), View, vCloud
Hypervisors (Hyper-V KVM, VMWare)
Networking Protocols, design and products: Ethernet, IP, switching, routing etc.
Storage networking protocols: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS/CiFS, storage multi-pathing
X86 hardware solutions.
Rack and blade server solutions from HP, Oracle, IBM, Dell
Firewalls/IPS, load balancers, WAN optimization
Knowledge of the following:
Cloud/Automation Software’s like HPE, Microsoft, VMware, Microfocus, IBM etc.
Cloud/Workload migration methodologies
Disaster recovery solutions: backup/recovery, mirroring, active/standby, active/active
High availability architectures and clustering solutions (Oracle RAC, Veritas, et al.)
IaaS, SaaS, PaaS offerings and commercial constructs
Data protection , security including backup and archival solutions
SDN, NFV concepts
Cloud Security
Cloud Orchestration
Knowledge of HP cloud related portfolio and offerings (Helion/Virtual Private Cloud/CSA/etc.) is a plus
Experience with other cloud providers, i.e. Amazon, Google, Microsoft is a plus
Cloud or Virtualization certifications is a plus
