FRB OPS is part of BNP Paribas Group IT and is responsible for supporting the IT production environments and activities for the FRB.

FRB OPS activities are critical and highly visible. Around 250 applications and 4000 servers are under FRB OPS responsibility.

Position Purpose

This is for a Support Analyst role, reporting to the Application Support Manager within ISPL ITGP OPS FRB.

The role includes operations and support, strongly collaborating with the global team and the other Technology teams in ISPL.

OPS team member would be working on standard banking software, vendor package and/or BNPP ITG IT FRB or BCEF-IT internally developed applications.

The FRB team member is responsible for providing production support, deployment and maintenance activities of key application platforms within the ITGP OPS FRB domain.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring production environment and act proactively to prevent application disruption or crash and performance issues
  • Responsible for resolving support issue by using technical expertise and flexible enough to look for solutions that may be out of the box
  • Handling ITIL methodologies such as Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Management to address the production activities
  • Monitoring night batch and ensuring reports are generated well and transferred to the client by adhering the SLA defined
  • Monitoring the recurrent incidents, perform problem management and escalate to the next level of support or development team when required
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure teams on events of patching & upgrade of servers to ensure the applications are stable and running after the infrastructure work
  • Responsible for STG/QUAL/PROD deployment and validation,
  • Analyzing/documenting problems, recommending solutions and initiating corrective action
  • Providing coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues, transferring skills and expertise as required.

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the knowledge transfer with Paris OPS teams
  • Contribute to the definition of procedures and processes necessary for the team
  • Help build team spirit and integrate into BNP Paribas culture
  • Contribute to incidents analysis and associated problem management
  • Contribute to the regular activity reporting and KPI calculation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement actions, especially the lessons learned from handovers to Paris
  • Contribute to the acquisition by ISPL team of new skills & knowledge to expand its scope

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Knowledge of ITIL – Experience on handling Incident / Problem / Change
  • Production Support background is a must
  • General IT infrastructure knowledge
  • Knowledge on banking application will be preferable
  • Person must have knowledge of Linux/Windows OS
  • Hands on knowledge in MS-SQL/SQL/Oracle
  • Able to understand the Stored Procedure logic
  • Knowledge of Dynatrace would be good
  • Having functional knowledge in Cash Management preferred
  • Experience with Service Now ticketing system
  • Familiarity with Autosys
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Measure and identify areas for improving Quality and overall Delivery
