AWS has been supporting SAP workloads for customers longer than any other cloud provider (since 2011), and thousands of customers run their SAP ERP and adjacent business-critical systems on AWS today using RISE, traditional perpetual license, and hybrid deployment models. SAP runs more SAP BTP Services on AWS than any other Cloud Services Provider. Customers can modernize their SAP systems using 200+ AWS cloud native services and 80+ SAP BTP services running on AWS, including offerings for data lakes, AI/ML, GenAI, image recognition, chat-bots, and more.

Amazon Web Services supports running Oracle ERP applications and Oracle databases, and offers enterprises a number of solutions for migrating and modernizing their enterprise applications on the AWS cloud. Customers run tens of thousands of Oracle database instances on AWS, and hundreds of customers have migrated their Oracle Apps to AWS for reasons including the broad portfolio of services to operate, modernize their ERP and innovate, in addition to the benefits of the robust AWS architecture which is best suited for mission-critical Oracle workloads, and provides more choices to save costs.

We are seeking an accomplished Business Development (BD) leader to drive the ERP on AWS modernization GTM strategy for the team. They will provide thought leadership and help build assets, solutions and accelerators which will be used by AWS field and ERP specialists to engage and help various ERP customer personas including Line of Business owners (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sustainability), CFOs, CDOs and industry leaders. They will develop modernization workshops/approaches, and drive innovation focused sales plays across both SAP and Oracle ERPs.

Key job responsibilities

The WW Business Development Manager is the voice of the customer while working with Field Sales, Partner, and Service teams to identify required Service needs, improvements, or future developments. They are responsible for: 1/ Developing and implementing GTM strategy and sales plays (specifically on ERP modernization for this role), 2/ Initiating and driving customer and Partner engagements, 3/ AWS field engagement and enablement, 4/ Service team engagement, and 5/ Winning strategic customer workloads. They identify need for new features in AWS Services by leveraging customer and field insights to further enhance or introduce AWS Service(s). They are subject matter experts (SMEs) within the sales organization for ERP workloads and use cases they cover.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • Experience with, and detailed knowledge of the support market and insights related to cloud computing and IT
  • Bachelor's degree
  • In-depth knowledge of functional business processes enabled by SAP and/or Oracle software, and experience in implementing solutions (preferred) or selling solutions with ERP

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements within the telecommunications sector experience
  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
