Purpose of Role

As the Senior Manager, Customer Marketing Technology & Operations (Remote), you will play an integral role on the Americas Lifecycle Marketing. In this role, you will manage end-to-end marketing campaigns that drive brand love and revenue. You’ll optimize email production workflows and influence MarTech to position Under Armour as an industry leader. This role reports to the Senior Director, Lifecycle Marketing.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable thinking strategically and partnering with colleagues around the organization to drive adoption of new processes while simultaneously ensuring business and customer value. This role will suit an individual who is passionate about consumer experience, offers a strong technical skillset, is intellectually curious, and communicates efficiently. You will play a critical role in scaling and evolving the UA Customer Marketing program.

Success in this role requires setting/executing a bold channel strategy by translating analytical insights into actionable recommendations and executing against a clear set of KPIs. In order to achieve this, you will partner closely with CRM, Personalization, eCommerce, Brand Marketing, Creative, IT, and external vendors. 

Your Impact

  • Lead the development/execution of compelling and effective marketing that drives customer engagement through a series of ad-hoc and automated triggered campaigns
  • Utilize strong project management skills to oversee end-to-end execution of customer marketing campaigns. Define project scope, objectives, and timelines, and ensure seamless coordination among cross-functional teams
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency within the customer marketing technology stack. Drive process improvements, implement best practices, and explore innovative solutions to streamline workflows
  • Bring a customer-centric approach to CDP activation strategy, leveraging 1PD & 3PD to support a personalized marketing agenda 
  • Collaborate with partners and provide guidance on email best practices, leveraging technology to drive more innovative and engaging email content
  • Act as a catalyst for change, driving usage of machine learning and improving internal campaign development/deployment standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionality with the email marketing, merchandising, site operations, global IT, content strategy, analytics and others to accomplish goals
  • Partner inclusively with 3rd party agency partners and technology providers

Qualifications

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of SFMC to design, execute, and optimize customer marketing campaigns. Can leverage the platform's capabilities (eg. Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio) to create personalized and targeted communication strategies that resonate with our diverse customer base
  • Email Development Experience: Proven track record of developing compelling and effective commercial emails that drive customer engagement and conversions. Maniacal focus on creating emails that are visually appealing, responsive, and aligned with brand standards
  • Strong Communication: Comfortable bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders. Able to translate and present complex concepts (verbally and written) into clear and actionable insights for team members, executives, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Analytical Mindset: Consistently approach problems in a fact-driven manner and apply frameworks to seek out objective truths
  • Collaborative Spirit: Extensive experience partnering with data analytics and IT teams to align customer marketing strategies with overarching business goals. Collaborate on data integration, segmentation, and reporting to ensure a cohesive and data-driven approach.
  • Inspiring People Leadership: Eagerness to lead, mentor, and develop a team of world class email developers. Established reputation for fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment that encourages continuous learning and skill enhancement
  • Broad Technical Skills: Intuitive understanding of relational databases, data schemas, and machine learning engines; basic SQL coding to create and execute custom selection criteria and automation activities; familiarity with Adobe Analytics and Movable Ink a plus
  • Openness To Change: Detail-oriented in your approach and eager to work in a fast-paced, agile environment while reacting to changes in the market

Education And / Or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7-10 of relevant experience in digital marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform with proven understanding of email best practices
  • Prior experience managing a team
  • Information System Management, Computer Science, or Marketing background preferred

Base Compensation

$128,102.00 - $176,140.80 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
