AltaGas - Senior Transformation Advisor, Midstream

The Senior Transformation Advisor, Midstream works in collaboration with the Director, Transformation and senior midstream leaders to track, oversee, and manage change within Midstream’s portfolio of priority initiatives.

You will support and coordinate the execution of special projects, and are responsible for the system in which the Midstream Leadership Team (MSLT) tracks the portfolio and execution of their strategic priorities. You will support leaders in identifying and documenting their goals and business needs, while working closely with various teams to develop and coordinate initiative execution plans and change management materials.

You will:

  • Support ongoing efforts to identify and execute initiatives furthering strategic priorities and improving Midstream-wide operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the MSLT and their teams to assess identified system/process needs and support the coordination of implementation.
  • Conduct research and summarize findings to inform strategic decisions, then share information and learnings across various teams; clearly and concisely.
  • Develop presentations, documents, and communications material for the MSLT (including executive and board reporting materials, townhall presentations, special projects)
  • Identify, develop and implement continuous improvements to the Midstream Transformation Management Office (TMO) in support of the efficiency and effectiveness of Midstream wide teams
  • Act with Integrity to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels: with executives, senior leaders, and stakeholders from various areas of the business – with the goal of gaining clarity and understanding of overlapping timelines, objectives, and deliverables
  • Consult with leaders to identify, frame, and support decisions; including gathering information from multiple sources to understand broader problems and opportunities.
  • Increase the productivity of meetings across Midstream by owning the planning, agenda notes, and communication/follow-up on action items
  • Work on multiple projects in a dynamic environment, coordinate team efforts to manage expectations and meet deadlines

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Several years experience in program management and change management; related certifications a plus
  • Experience acting as an internal advisor/consultant to multi-disciplinary leaders preferred; preparing presentations, planning session facilitation, leadership coaching
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint presentations, both technical skills and the ability to convey complex information along with themes, trends, etc. to all audiences.
  • Experience interacting with senior leaders as well as stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfort in fostering change: business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Deep curiosity, and/or an understanding of the Midstream environment, its practices, processes, and systems is highly valued.
  • Ability to conceptualize, analyze, and communicate multiple scenarios/solutions to broadly defined, complex business problems.
  • Solid analytical and research skills with hands-on experience in analyzing and producing accurate conclusions to articulate and support the recommended execution approach
