Your Role:

Treasure Data is seeking a Senior Product Manager with a strong background in Big Data platforms to lead some of our key Core Services including enabling larger scale, modern data management, and analytics operations for our Customer Data Platform. We are looking for a smart, entrepreneurial “drive the bus” leader to take on this role and bring product enhancements to market. Your experience focuses on how data can be utilized to empower humans to deliver better customer experiences. This position will be located in Mountain View, CA. 

You are highly technical and customer facing. You interface well with engineers, designers, sales people, customers and executives. You have a strong technical background in processing data as scale and were born to lead and influence others. You will lead product strategy and execution, overseeing ideation, planning, development, launch, and maintenance across the Core Services portfolio. You will contribute to the overall platform strategy and roadmap development to ensure business objectives are met. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the vision, roadmap and execution for key components of CDP Platform worldwide. 
  • Represent the customer. Be the champion and voice of the customer. Build impactful, personal, customer relationships. Bring the customer’s voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications and release plans. 
  • Drive for the best customer experience possible. Work closely with UX to develop, test and deliver assets to the engineering team. Work with the technical team to deliver a world-class product driven by customers, prospects, advisory teams, and internal product experts. Drive the end to end feature delivery cycle including customer onboarding and ramp. 
  • Apply creative thinking/approach to resolve and prioritize technical solutions that further business goals and align with corporate technology strategies, keeping in mind performance, reliability, scalability, usability, security, flexibility, and cost.
  • Work with the Product Marketing team to help them develop comprehensive Go-To-Market plans including, internal and external training, pitch decks, demos and the necessary marketing materials. 
  • Measure success. Measure everything. A feature release does not indicate success. Define what success means for each feature and each function before it even goes to development. Develop ways to constantly define and monitor success. 
  • Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job. 
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently. Coordinate product release communications for your components. Define expectations for engineering teams and hold them accountable to success and failure. Work closely with product marketing managers to promote your products both internally and externally, and to ensure a cohesive message. 
  • Represent Treasure Data as a domain and product expert at customer interactions, industry and corporate events, online in customer communities, and through social networking.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management 
  • Experience with one of the following: enterprise SaaS products, cloud infrastructure, big data, data systems, data pipelines
  • Strong understanding of how Data & Marketing Ops teams at Global 2000 companies deliver value and how platform technology supports that goal. 
  • Leadership - proven ability to set a vision, translate the vision into a roadmap, and excite/lead a cross-functional engineering, UX, Product Marketing, partner and sales team to bring the product to market. 
  • Proven experience with enterprise SaaS products including presenting to executive leadership and handling sensitive customer situations. 
  • Excellent ability to empathize and communicate with people with different points of view.
  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments and lead / work autonomously globally.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Creative thinker who thrives on solving challenging problems with analytical thinking, and is focused on adding customer value and ROI.
  • Good understanding of technology with the ability to hold your own in debates with technical architects and engineers.
  • Extreme ownership of your projects. The buck stops with you.
  • Experience of API-led product development and strategy 

Physical Requirements: 

Must be able to commit to a hybrid work policy and work 3 days in office 2 days remote weekly in the Mountain View, CA office. Relocation not supported

Travel Requirements: 

Up to 25% travel
