The purpose of this position is to manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus or portfolio of buildings.

This position will interface with multiple clients daily.  The candidate should be well versed, and have strong capabilities and knowledge in maintaining financial budgets, providing monthly workbooks on these budgets, and reporting on them monthly if needed. 

The candidate will be responsible for the issuance of all PO’s for all services CBRE renders at each location; ensure the PO’s are approved in the JDE system for payment once the work has been accomplished by the vendor, along with resolving issues on exception to policies for PO amounts, and resolving issues with vendors that did not receive payment on scheduled time frame per contracts issued.  The candidate will also contact vendors for services, acquire pricing for services, and assist in setting up vendors to provide services at multiple locations throughout the United States. 

The Candidate should be familiar with creating annual budgets, along with creating five-year capital improvement budgets or plans for all the sites under their responsibility.

The candidate should have strong communication skills, along with an aptitude to understand the client’s needs.  The candidate will need to ensure follow up is performed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to ensure all work orders are being completed as assigned to the multiple locations, and interact with clients at each, and all locations regarding scheduling of said work by the vendor.  The candidate will also be responsible of ensuring that the work order system is maintained, and that all work orders are closed out, extended, or cancelled as needed to ensure KPI’s are met and maintained.

This position requires travelling from 25 to 50% initially, and then when necessary, or for emergencies to ensure clients services are maintained at the highest level.  The candidate will be the first responder on all emergencies, and will need to be available to attend to such emergencies when they occur and escalate as needed, when needed, or if necessary.

The candidate should have good communication skills, writing skills, and be familiar with the Microsoft suite; main programs of interaction would be Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.

The candidate will interact with his or her supervisor/manager daily, and needs to be able to communicate all business issues along with concerns both verbally, and in writing to ensure information is constantly updated and accurate.




High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training. Associates degree or Bachelors degree preferred with focus on business, technical or management areas. Prior supervisory experience preferred.


Facility Management certification preferred. Driver's license may be required.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.


Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.


Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and intranet/internet. Ability to use work order system. Working knowledge of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems. Working knowledge of leases, contracts and related documents.


Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
