This position reports directly to the CapEx Category Lead, this role is responsible for leading & supporting the strategic sourcing of the CapEx categories in EMEA and North America and to create procurement transformation for the entire business value chain.

The suitable candidate expects to drive cost savings, applies best practices, focuses on working capital delivery across strategic sourcing programs, supports overall industrial portfolio utilizing continuous improvement and value generation programs.

The role requires partnering with stakeholders and procurement buyers, develops strong analytical and data driven programs, formulates sourcing strategies, uses tactical and influential relationships with global industrial operation leaders to translate business requirements into procurement strategies aligned with One Bunge value.

General Responsibilities

  1. Supports portfolio to formulate strategy development & business needs of Industrial group 
  • Expertise in strategic sourcing methodology to drive standard operating procedures.
  • Applies internal spend and past vendor analyses, and market knowledge.
  1. Leads strategy alignment and execution for global and local spend 
  • Drives strategy communication and alignment with global and local cross functional teams.
  • Leads and prepares sourcing strategies to co-lead global negotiations.
  • Works with plant teams to identify continuous improvement areas to improve reliability.
  1. Prepares and leads contract implementation and drives contract compliance per Procurement policy
  • Prepares contracts with due diligence, liaise with legal to include best practices and
  • Works in close collaboration with regional, county procurement and business services to ensure local acceptance of new contracts, extends value generation to increase customer satisfaction.
  1. Supports Supplier relationship and risk management
  • Continuously track supplier performance according to a defined framework.
  • Lead supplier development activities, sets-up cross functional review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and value creation
  • Proactively identifies supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans.

Key Sourcing Responsibilities

  • Develops and apply best-in-class CapEx sourcing methodology to drive procurement programs in the Northern Hemisphere [EMEA & North America]
  • Supports country procurement teams to deliver cost savings based on sourcing strategies and compliance management.
  • Continuously improves ways of working and optimizes procurement activities in the region (i.e., standardisation, templates and common P2P, Category Management, e-Auction tools)
  • Lead the rationalization of vendors and its integration across countries with engineering value center (EVC) and supports formulation of solid project scopes
  • Drives contract compliance and supplier audit initiatives
  • Manages strategic sub-category supplier relationships and implements consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, and report on suppliers’ performance.
  • Reviews and completes major contracts for key sub-categories, and ensures negotiated contracts are clearly communicated to ensure adoption
  • Manages category supplier relationships and implements consistent KPIs for the sub-categories, addresses supplier performance risks and issues promptly.

Functional/ Business skills

  • Sourcing Strategy Development (Industry/supply Intelligence and Spend & Cost Analysis)
  • Supports category strategies through benchmarking, market trends, supply/demand dynamics and cost analysis to make sound business decisions based on economic logic
  • Understands and utilizes economic, financial, and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, identifying key issues, and developing strategies and plans.
  • Strategic, analytical and predictive-thinking mind-set; Creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches to procurement challenges.
  • Internal Stakeholder Management and Effective Change Management in a multi – site manufacturing environment
  • Effective Communication skills to influence others, Fluency in English - other languages is a plus

Essential Knowledge/ Experiences

  • Bachelor degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Industrial) or equivalent by experience. MBA is preferred.
  • Worked in a global business with minimum 3 years work experience in procurement strategy, operations, continuous improvement programs.
  • Experience in leading CapEx categories and deriving value creation across global projects.
  • Experienced with Tableau, Excel, Power BI, SAP to drive smart business analytics
  • Preferred Experienced - Food, FMCG, Pharma preferably support engineering & procurement organisations.
  • Preferred Experience - effectively managing external procurement and category market intelligence consultants.
