Revenue Accounting Specialist / US GAAP specialist/ Contract Reviewer

This position is responsible for the review of contract documents to determine the proper assessment of revenue recognition and billing parameters under US GAAP/Accounting Standard ASC606

Specific duties include:

  • Reviews contract documentation provided by business operations to ensure completeness of documentation needed to support the set-up of contracts and projects in the ERP system.
  • Communicates with operations and finance personnel regarding scopes of work in cases where documentation received is not clearly defined
  • Determines proper revenue and billing plan set up and definition of contract line structure based on proper revenue recognition rules relative to US GAAP Accounting Standard ASC606.
  • Provides certification of the Revenue Questionnaire that provides audit support for the revenue and billing assessment.
  • B.com or Accounting graduate / post graduate / CA Inter / Cost Accountant Intermediate
  • Must have 7-10 years of relative work experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Must have a keen attention to detail for accuracy and troubleshooting complex situations, if needed.
  • Responds to support queries within the defined Service Level Agreements ( SLA) from internal / External resources
  • Must be flexible to work in shifts and provide coverage on rotational basis on holidays ( limited)
  • Should have worked in a ERP process environment with working knowledge of email communication to support internal business stakeholders
  • Must have a keen attention to detail for accuracy and troubleshooting complex situations, if needed.
  • Willingness to work in a team is a must
