In this high-level role, you are responsible for the sales management of IDT´s business. Manage the P&L of the territory and are accountable for inspire, coach, and develop the sales team to maximize market penetration within the geography.

The person we are looking for will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will lead a team of 4 sales representatives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Leads, coaches, and develops Genomics field sales in the territory, and support team to achieve growth and performance targets
  • Apply the following methods as (visual daily management, standard work, voice of the customer (VOC), Kaizen basics, 5S, problem solving, value stream mapping and transactional process improvement) and solid commercial fundamentals (funnel management, order and revenue forecasting, dealer/distributor management) are consistently implemented and rigorously followed
  • Meets and/or exceeds requirements established in core value drivers (CVDs) and KPIs including but not limited to orders, revenue, operating margin, OMX, working capital, product and service quality, on-time delivery, internal fill rate, employee engagement and employee retention
  • Utilizes a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, forecasting and closing data
  • Develop, solidify and maintain high-level relationships within key accounts in the territory
  • Monitors and evaluates sales rep progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectation

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University degree in Life Sciences, Genomics or Molecular/Cellular Biology
  • Several years of sales management experience with a successful sales track record and minimum 5 years’ experience in a leading role with direct reports
  • Proven record of leadership and managing a sales organization with regional responsibility and establishing long term strategic growth initiatives required
  • Working knowledge of various sequencing technologies and platforms (Illumina, PacBio, ONT, MGI, etc) and sample preparation components including library preparation of DNA and RNA, target enrichment, single cell platforms, etc.
  • Familiarity with corporate, academic and government accounts. Ability to drive senior level sales and negotiations, as well as alignment of internal resources for customer success
  • Fluently written and spoken German and English language skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • PhD, MBA or similar advanced degree would be preferred but is not essential
  • Further language skills in Dutch
