DPL is hiring an Assistant Branch Supervisor for the Green Valley Ranch Branch Library. This position reports to the Branch Supervisor and works as second in charge to manage daily operations at the Branch Library. In this position, you will supervise staff and oversee daily operations at the Green Valley Ranch Branch Library where all are free to explore and connect. The ideal candidate must be committed to providing a welcoming environment for all customers with the ability to foster curiosity by promoting our services throughout the community, especially among youth and our underserved populations. This person must make it a priority to connect with our customers, and build relationships while providing access to our collection and our space in an equitable manner. This person must be able to demonstrate accountability to members of the communities we serve as a good steward of our resources in a way that reflects our values and commitment to support the needs of a diverse community. The assistant branch supervisor serves as the person in charge (PIC) at other library locations occasionally; duties include overseeing safety, building security and security officer on duty. The Green Valley Ranch Branch Library is a very busy community library that provides services to the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood of Denver. We are surrounded by several schools and see many children and families during after-school hours. We provide lots of opportunities for our community to engage with the library including our After School is Cool program, Plaza programming, and our very active Teen Advisory Board. Our team consists of highly dedicated staff who are supportive, friendly, and collaborative with a sense of humor.

Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science and two years of professional librarian experience.
