The Director Editorial Strategy, Project Management, will define, scope, initiate, and manage large departmental projects and initiatives, providing project leadership of specific initiatives to ensure successful delivery of the Editorial Strategy across all pillars.

The Director drives delivery of Editorial’s location strategy by providing on-site Editorial leadership and has responsibility for the ongoing effectiveness of Editorial teams in designated locations (Manila and Hyderabad). The Director is responsible for ensuring that implementation and operations are in line with Editorial Strategy. Editorial’s location strategy is a key element of the Editorial strategy, improving Editorial’s ROI and drawing on TR’s global talent base.

About the Role

  • In this opportunity as Director of Editorial Strategy, Project Management, you will:
  • Define, document and execute high-complexity and high-visibility projects, actively participating in all project phases. Identify, assess and manage risks to project success. Draft feasibility studies, risk assessments and statements of work.
  • Develop or assist in developing business cases for large Editorial projects with significant impact.
  • Manage scope, budget, timeline, risks, issues, and dependencies of projects.
  • Ensure all parties are aware of project scope and milestones. Highlight divergence from that scope and adjust where necessary to reflect changing circumstances, acting as a communication liaison. 
  • Oversee successful launch and implementation of Global Center Editorial pilots and transition into production.
  • Work closely with HR contacts to define and influence any people strategies required to secure long-term success and talent development within the Editorial teams at these locations.
  • Editorial lead for Global Centers, representing Editorial senior leadership at key meetings, including site meetings, and influencing key decisions that impact Global Center Editorial teams.
  • Establish effective structures, reporting mechanisms and documentation for Editorial initiatives in Global Centers and other key initiatives.
  • Promote Editorial culture in Editorial teams in designated locations (Manila/Hyderabad).
  • Influence decisions re: Editorial strategy and operating mechanisms across all Editorial locations using insights gained from experience.
  • Advise on Editorial People Strategy and drive effective implementation of all elements of that strategy across all Editorial locations and teams as required.
  • Advise on the broader Editorial Strategy and support effective implementation, leading specific initiatives as assigned.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Director Editorial Strategy, Project Management if your background includes:

  • Holds a university degree or equivalent higher qualification
  • Overall 15+ years of experience and a Minimum of 10 years in Editorial / Content leadership experience. Preferably from a legal process outsourcing industry, tax, accounting and other relevant industries.
  • Experience managing processes and relationships with cross-functional partners, demonstrating strong influencing skills to achieve objectives.
  • Program management certification or evidence of skills in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Ability to adapt, thrive, and multitask in a demanding workplace while managing pressure, deadlines, and conflicting and shifting priorities.
  • Experience with financial and other data, analytics and editorial tools.
  • Clear evidence of strategic thinking. Ability to think critically, make smart trade-offs and implement effective solutions.
  • A firm understanding of market and industry dynamics.
