Purpose of the Position:

The Senior Supervisor Risk Operations serves as the management’s key interface with the contract guard force and provides an extra layer of supervision and quality control. This position will also serve as the highest level of management in the absence of the two senior managers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Maintain knowledge of all aspects of the security operations plan and ensure full situational awareness within their respective area of responsibility.

Crisis Management: Direct the security guard force during implementation of Crisis Management Plans.

Security Procedures: Ensure operational compliance with security procedures by guard-force leadership.

Assuming Authority: Act as the highest authority for the Risk Management Department in the absence of senior manager and section manager risk operations.

Improvement Efforts: Implement to achieve continuous improvement among outsourced security guards and shift supervisors.

Staffing and Equipment: Ensure that all posts and patrols are appropriately staffed and that shift leaders equip security guards with necessary tools.

Training: Assist in the ongoing training of security guards and ensure regular training drills are conducted under the guidance of Risk Management Department senior managers.

Incident Management: Ensure supervisors and guards execute incident and emergency responses per standard operating procedures.

Communication: Facilitate the flow of information during incidents and emergencies via the Security Operations Center Communications Officer, Risk Management Admins, and CCTV Operators.

Threat Analysis: Raise issues pertaining to emerging threats and risks to Risk Management Department managers.

Key Challenges:

  • Managing transition from shift change to operational readiness in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Improving performance across a large guard force.
  • Ensuring guard force has adequate organization and resources to carry out security operations plan.

Background, Education, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent.
  • Garda Madya certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory security/risk management position in a multinational operation.
  • Experience implementing procedures in an oil & gas, mining or heavy industry setting.
  • Leadership of a guard force of 100+ for at least two (2) years.
  • Knowledge of security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarms, guard tour tools, radio communications etc.
  • Understanding of outsourced guarding operations.
