Job Title:

Developer - IT Global SAP ABAP

Summary:

This person will be responsible for developing Enterprise Resource Programs and functionality, as well as maintaining those that already exist. Responsibilities include capturing customer and user requirements, systems analysis, design, complex ABAP programming, testing, debugging and implementation of mission critical systems.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assists in the day-to-day maintenance and improvement of the Enterprise Resource Programs and related systems. This involves a range of responsibilities such as updating documentation, computer programming and conducting systems administration.
  • SAP ABAP Programming including Forms, Reports, Enhancements, Conversions, Interfaces, Workflow, SAP script, and Adobe Smart Forms.
  • Creation of SAP OSS Messages and Support Tickets, as well as the Application of OSS Notes.
  • Verifying and validating system operation, including writing and executing test procedures and test scripts, conducting functional and technical reviews, correcting defects, and providing technical support.
  • Performing and documenting impact analyses and development estimates for change requests.
  • Assists with technical design and functional specifications for business applications, identifies user needs, analyzes options and alternatives, and Recommends modifications to applications as appropriate
  • Makes presentations or conducts training on new or changed systems.
  • Researches and tracks technical trends and products. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 6 years SAP FRICEW object development experience using ABAP
  • SAP application development from basic ABAP through advanced technologies.
  • Report writing using ALV and ABAP lists.
  • RFCs/BADIs/BAPIs.
  • User exits/enhancements.
  • BDCs and LSMW.
  • Workflow.
  • WebDynpro.
  • Use of Structured Methodology.
  • Software development lifecycle.
  • Change management, transports and source code control.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must possess good problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to interact well with all levels of management.
  • Must be able to work well as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to translate business requirements and design concepts into intuitive designs and applications.
  • Ability to explain and discuss complex analysis and programming issues in a manner that can be understood by non-technical persons.
  • Ability to analyze and define complex program structures.
  • Working knowledge of SAP functional modules (SD, MM, FI, FSCM, etc.) desired
